Nice pic but sad to see an abandoned car dealership like that. Wonder what year it was...looks depressing nonetheless.

Hard to stay in business in a town with two houses. Our ford building is still in our town. Closed in the 70's. Someone covered the brick front with the winged logo with metal siding.
Sad.

If you click on the picture, it will enlarge enough to show detail. Front of building has painted sign: "Ford Sales and Service", in the font that many Ford dealerships in small towns used in the 1920's. I'm sure this building saw many a Model T in the twenties. it might have even seen some in the teens.

Small (<75 people) old towns still have memories

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

I would love to live in a town like that! (as long as it's crime free) I'm at the stage in my life where I just work all day and come home too exhausted to care about hobbies or anything so I don't need any nightlife or entertainment in town. Having that garage would be a wonderful place to store and work on Model T's.............
