"Master" auxiliary brake linkage

Post by m_p_dean@yahoo.com » Tue Apr 16, 2024 5:59 pm

Hi all.
I have a set of "Master" brand auxiliary wheel brakes that I picked up for my '17 Touring...minus any linkage. Is anybody familiar with Master brakes, and their linkage? Any information you could share would be helpful, minimizing any required wheel reinventing (or wheel brake reinventing).
Transferring motion from the pedal to the rear is not a problem, it's information about the linkage at the wheel that I'm looking for.
Thanks, Maury Dean

According to this old thread, Jeff Hood has (or had) a set of Master brakes for his car.

At the bottom of this thread, Kevin Pharis mentions that the Master brake drums were cast iron, not steel.

These photos of 'Master' brand were posted a while back. Seems to be similar to Rocky Mtn.

This older period adv of Master shows an artist drawing, not sure what the large rear casing part is about. The adv does mention cast iron drum, in two sizes 8" and 10" for heavier bodies.
