What an accomplishment. No wonder they call Ron the "Coilman".

If my calculations are right, that's 6500 T`s running with no buzz coil issues! Other issues maybe, but not bad coils.
Congratulations sir!!

Congrats Ron!
Thank you for enabling the Model T ignition system to be accepted by the masses!
In my opinion, it’s still the best!
Your friend and colleague.

Ron was very helpful when I was trying to understand coils about 15 years ago, and the knowledge he passed to me has now benefitted many here in the UK.
Thank you

Congratulations. That is an amazing statistic! What I am also impressed with is you have shared your knowledge and encouraged and trained others to do similar work. Well done.

Whew! I'm glad that you started rebuilding coils when you did! Why? Because at least 32 of that total were mine

.
Maybe more.

If you ever visit Ron's shop, he keeps it so clean you could eat off the floors. He's done all my coils as well as those of most of my friends. He even took the time to tune some coils for participants before and after the last "Tunnel of Trees" tour in northern Michigan (which started from his house). Great guy!

Ron, thanks to you and John Regan with your clear descriptions, the mysteries of the Ford ignition system have been made clear to any current Ford owners who wish to understand. I personally owe you many thanks.
You rebuilt a set of coils for me about 16 or 17 years ago and they have given perfect service in near daily use. Each year I pull them out, lightly polish the points with 1,200 grit sandpaper and check them for current draw on a hand-cranked coil tester and drop them back in the car. I'm amused to report that in all that time they have never had a sniff of battery current - magneto only!
Thanks, Ron, for all you have done and continue to do for the hobby.
