Photo #6 is especially interesting. Pretty sure it’s a car club gathering, show or tour perhaps. The date of the photo up for speculation, but I would guess early 1960’s when “old car folks” were enthusiastic about sporting “period dress” when out with their cars. The dapper fellow’s derby and swallowtail coat are not technically anachronistic, but not quite authentic for the average Ford owner of 1919.

Just think, that car was “only” forty one years old in 1960. I may be wrong, but I don’t think enthusiasts who drive “vintage” or “veteran” cars are dressing like it’s 1983 . . . Or maybe they are ? Who can tell ?

The 1912 with the oversize electric headlights has a Minnesota 1915-16-17 license plate. Note taillight on the sidelight bracket.

The spark rod should be up, not all the way down when you crank. The lower petcock would not drain enough oil to drain the crankcase. They should have a stock wrench which would fit the drain plug. They don't have to be original Ford wrenches. They didn't check to see if there was an oil screen at the top of the transmission, so it might have a lot of sediment in it. Well at least no one broke any bones nor got killed!
