An engine stand? A rebuilding roll around stand that the engine can be rotated right side up and upside down? I used a modern engine stand from Harbor Freight for my 1939 Ford V8.

Craig - a quick internet search show a couple types of flathead cradles. If you weld they are a simple fabrication project. I made mine out of some 3/8” steel plate and scrap square tube - with ACE Hardware casters. For any pre-8BA flattie, I use the exhaust flange for my engine stand adapter and cradle attaching points
to avoid potentially cracking the early cast-in bell housing.
