Early carburetor mixture rod
The cap on the carb mixture rod on my 1910 has me puzzled. It is unlike the repos in two respects. First it has a small arrow so the operator can determine the proper setting. Second, and most puzzling is the cap on the underside is recessed much like later later carb needle valve caps. Any information about this style would be appreciated.

Nice to see that early detail of the carb adj. knob. Figured the knob had some marking to note the position, really like that factory 'fletched arrow' 
Thanks for posting the photos.
The best I could attempt to mimic on my faux '12 open express was to smack the face of the repro knob with the letter V from the stamp set.

The rod cap on my May 1910 is the same as on the illustrated cap.
