Re: Fulton or bust
We made it to Fulton,110 miles. We toured the Winston Churchill museum here. It was very interesting with several of his original paintings on display.
Dinner was had at a very nice restaurant, Beks, great service and a nice price. We swapped a bunch of old lies over dinner, then told a bunch of new ones after we got back to the hotel.

Re: Fulton or bust
Thank you George,
It was a great trip planned by Sam Atkinson, our overnight tour director. Westminster College, where Winston Churchill gave his famous “Iron Curtain” speech has a wonderful museum. The college bought a 13th century church that was damaged in WWII and had it shipped here, rebuilt stone by stone.
After the museum and getting checked into our hotel, Sam had reservations and one of Fulton’s finest restaurants.
We had breakfast at the hotel and were heading back before 10 today. Lunch was in historic Herman Misssouri, and we tried to stay ahead of the rain. Unfortunately, we were not successful at staying dry.
My daughter, Hailey, and I split off from the group at Washington, MO to head back home. We made it within 10 miles from home when Hailey’s car decided it no longer wanted to go, or stop.
After last years fall tour when her brake band failed, she acquired a set of Scandinavia bands, but I think they must have been the infamous “tar baby” ones. Luckily My truck and trailer were close and my wife brought to us.
So if anyone has a set of bands for a ‘23, we are in the market.
Thanks for riding along with us on this trip

I went on the the 1st national tour to Dearborn in1967. We went through Fulton and were treated like kings. Many of the old timers ,now gone made the stopover--Ben Yumori. Ray Miller--Earl Carder (I think) and a few. others. Pioneer T Club days.

A great tour in beautiful country, thanks Sam! Some pictures of a brief stop in the village of Starkenburg shows the lush green hills that reminded the German emigrants who settled here in the 1870's of their homeland.
