Can anyone tell me whether wire wheels were only optional on the 1927 Fords?
I had understood that they offered wire wheels as an option in 1926, versus wooden artillery wheels, but that in 1927, only Ford wire wheels were supplied. Is this correct, or wrong?
Thanks for any input!

Re: 1927 Wire Wheels vs. Wood Artillery Wheels
Here is a dealer price list using Ford factory prices for the date, Feb. 1927.
Wood wheel were std. for open cars, all had balloon tires with split rim wood wheels as std. Wire wheels std. on closed cars, but could be fitted for wood wheels if customer wanted.
Note the line (under Fordor listing) that 5 wire wheels for other than 'sedans' i.e. Coupe and Fordor is extra $30when added to a runabout or touring styles.
