1917-1922 Coupe height?
I need some information. What is the height of a 1917-1922 Coupe at its highest spot? I would like to know how tall a rear enclosed trailer door would need to be and also to see if it would fit through the garage door. Thanks.

The 1917 "hump top" is taller than all the later ones by a few inches.
As always, vehicle height varies considerably for tire brand, size, and condition. Also spring's and shackle's condition. But the big one is accessory shock absorbers can add an inch or more.

Roger, Height from ground to top on my '18 is 81" with 30x3's in front and 30x 3-1/2's in back. Fits in a garage opening of 82' no problem. George

Something to consider with enclosed trailers is the presence or absence of a "beaver tail" downward sloping floor for the rear 2 feet. This allows a tall car to sneak under a rear sill in an otherwise tall enough interior. This is more important with enclosed cars aside from coupes, and tourings with the tops up.

Thanks George, that's the info I was looking for. Apparently we have the same garage door height. I can get my 1914 in with the top up but I wasn't sure if maybe a coupe of that period was a bit taller. Thanks Noel, I've never had an issue with a trailer but figured I'd check with the forum anyway.

Be sure to account for the car bouncing while being trailered and allow for it with internal ceiling height.
