What do you want to know? There is quite a bit on the AACA Forums regarding Model 20 Hupmobile.

In searching for info ,I did not come across a reference to a Model "roadster", only references called a Model 20 or a Runabout. While this is for a 1910 its likely to note any differences from a 1909 HUPMOBILE.

Humpmobiles are for back seat drivers.

Wayne,
Here are a few pictures of your Hupmobile. George is an excellent source of information on how to proceed, plus he is nearby. His car was also acquired from the Shierlow family, albeit awhile back.
Joyce is very glad that you are happy with the little red car!

The photos posted by ModelTSpeedster I am pretty sure are not a 1909 Hupmobile. The first year cars had a shorter radiator neck and were open runabouts, no doors. In the early days of the hobby, a lot of early automobiles were misidentified as being earlier than they were. In many cases second, third and fourth year production models were often identified as being first year of production cars. Once they were so labeled, the misidentification often stuck still to today. Many cars, like the Sears were often identified as being older than the earliest production models. More than a dozen Sears automobiles used to be claimed as 1907 models in spite of the recorded fact that only two prototypes were built in 1907, and actual production did not begin until late 1908 as 1909 models. Several Sears owners today believe that THEIR car is one of the two prototypes because the person they bought it from decades ago said it was built in 1907.
About thirty years ago, I saw one at a show. I and several other people knew the car was a later one, but the owner kept insisting it was a 1907 prototype. I didn't say anything to him, but a few other people that knew better did (two or three of them also owned early Sers automobiles). And he kept insisting his was a real 1907 in spite of the engine and serial number that clearly identified the car as a 1911. Very sad.

Regardless, ModelTSpeedster, thank you for posting these photos! They are very helpful for anyone not familiar with the model 20 Hupmobile. (And I still love seeing pictures of the little Hupp cars!)

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the all the info. I have been trying to help Wayne M. with the Hupmobile and all this will help a lot. George I would love to talk to you
many of the questions involve lubrication, spark, controls & the things needed to know to get it running. Wayne M drives all of his cars.
Frank thanks so much Trade Journal piece very help full. Some of the questions are that it states there are level drain cocks for crank case oil
I see drain cocks on the bottom in some pics I have found. Do they have a tube that go's up in the crank case so the level is maintained? Randy
this car has a third oil line going to the front with a pull rod that I have not seen in any other pics is that a add on? Wayne S. Wayne M. said he
found a #512 ( I think) on a tag that would make it one of the very first 1910's which may explain the year confusion.
Thanks everyone as usual the Forum is a wealth of info.
Wayne uses voice recognition because most of the time it spells better than he does, not this time hence the Humpmobile thing.
Craig.

Here are a couple more pictures of the Hupmobile. I always suspected the actual model was perhaps a 1910 or 1911.

The car appears to need some corrective detailing, and of course proper sorting for touring if so desired. However it basically looks like a fine early small car!
I certainly enjoy looking at the photos of it! However, Can you clarify who this car belongs to? Or do I have to guess?

Thank you Craig L! That is what I thought, just wanted to be sure.
Not often I have another "Wayne" to get confused around?

Neat car! I am envious.
