1915-1916 Butterfly Firewall Bracket....
I'm trying to finish my 15-16 Firewall Assembly and I've come across a bracket called the "Butterfly Bracket" in Lang's website catalog. Does anybody know where this little bracket goes? I can't for the life of me find anyplace on the firewall that this thing would fit (or might be needed). Is it an anti-rattle bracket like the splash apron has for both rear and front fenders? Or does it go somewhere near the floorboard riser? Although I can't see how that would work either.

There are two used on each car. They are located near the bottom of wood fire walls ( dash) between the firewall and the floor board riser.

Dan's photos are of an earlier car than 1915. They show a separate hood former with no metal cover over the firewall, and the first photo shows the earlier pan arm with the tapered down outer ribs on top. By the time the 1915 bodies with their metal covered firewalls came along, I think the butterfly brackets were not needed. It was 1992 that I finished restoring my 1915 tourer, so my memory may not be correct.
