International Half Pallet shipping - anyone have experience here?

Post by AdminJeff » Sat Nov 02, 2024 3:04 pm

Does anyone have any experience with this? I have a half pallet of Model T products I need to ship to Italy via Ocean cargo. I've never had to do this before!

Check out DHL. They make international freight really easy. They only offer air freight so might be a bit expensive, but nothing will rust or sink along the way. Probably be there in a week, sea freight could take months for the forwarder to accumulate a container then travel time…

If its only half a pallet & a one off you might be better off selling it on EXW terms and letting the purchaser take care of freight.

DHL do have an ocean freight division. It's called DHL Global Forwarding.

Here we have a franchise network called Pac n Send. They act as packers and organise forward freight. We pay them up front and they do the rest. I sent a set of 4 Hayes wire wheels to the USA using their service. The receiver was more than happy with his purchase. They will quote up front so you know where you stand. Surely there is a similar service available in the USA

All good suggestions. DHL seems to be $1300 for half a pallet shipped air. Quite reasonable actually
