Snowbird Invitation
Snowbird invitation.
As many people visit Florida for the Holidays or for the entire winter the Suncoast T Club wants to invite you to visit. Our members are basically in Pinellas County (St. Petersburg, Clearwater and such).
We have regular club events on each 2nd Saturday of each month. If you are in the area for a spell or passing through look us up (even if it’s not a 2nd Saturday). The invitation stands the whole year long.
Email: Modelt@SuncoastTclub.com or call me, Ben Umberger at 727 433 2242. (Website: http://www.SuncoastTclub.com)
Hope to see you as you travel Florida.
Sincerely
Ben Umberger

Re: Snowbird Invitation
I wish there was an active club...heck, even just a few T owners, here in the Panhandle. I have yet to encounter another T, and I'm aware of only one other A owner near me.
The closest active group to me is Pensecola last I knew.

Re: Snowbird Invitation
You might want to try your local Model A gangs. They seem to have the skinny on where the T's are hiding. We joined the local A Restorers Club and met 3 T owners, and they welcome us in our T to day-tour the region as well, which for us was reason to join. The T owners we have met are a bonus but most likely not going to be enough to form a T group.

Everything works in theory.

Re: Snowbird Invitation
I had heard of the MAFCA group in Fort Walton, that appears to be the hub in the panhandle...FWB/Pensecola. I had heard though that they were no longer active. Every other club is central/east coast. Not surprised there is a chapter in The Villages, for anyone who knows that retiree playground...but...that's all they're building up around PCB, so I've been hoping more retirees with toys build up numbers here locally.
While my 29 Roadster is road worthy, I've never considered making that 1.5 hr trek with her though...anyone who knows 98 and/or that area thru Destin, geez, I'm paranoid enough driving a modern car, let alone the A...and NO way in H, E, Double Toothpicks in a T!!! But ya, I really need to get off my procrastinating/grumbling arse and go to one of their meetings just to meet up with some more T & A owners.
Thanks for the links

Re: Snowbird Invitation
Posting asking for help.
Somebody on this forum emailed me providing contact info for the prior president of the now defunct T club in the Florida panhandle...to whom I then made successful contact.
The only problem, due to an unfortunate, and maddeningly frustrating circumstance (long story), I lost access to my old email ID. I not only lost access, but in turn all past correspondence, files, contact lists, etc. as well as any current correspondence coming my way without knowing I am blind to it.
My profile is now updated with my new ID....but...hoping that whoever sent me the contact will read this and do so again, so I can reconnect with the local T group.
Thanks!!

Re: Snowbird Invitation
We tried a few years ago (in Pensacola) to get a club off the ground but nothing really happened.
