Hi All,
When I was restoring the front seat spring for my Dec.24 Touring, I found this steel tag attached to one of the springs. It has the number A85696. Does anybody know what its purpose is? A part number? Installation company? Worker's ID?

Not a Ford part number or factory number. Too many digits. The only body parts that start with a letter are glass, and it starts with the letter G. No "A" body part numbers.

I found the same thing when I was restoring my late 23/ early 24 touring. I posted about mine a while back, but nothing really came of the discussion.
