Found a rusty Stevens nugget.
Getting things ready to go to a swap meet this Sunday and I found rusty nugget today that I did not know that I had, a Stevens Drive Shaft Refacer, T-292. The pilot is pretty rough but the cutter is still good and sharp. Most everything at the auction I got it from had been stored in less than ideal conditions. I know where it came from but I didn't even see it at the auction, didn't know I bought it, nor did I see it when I was loading and unloading the stuff (by me I mean my son, supervisory role and all). It was mixed in with a slew of KRW reamers and valve seat cutters (most everything was/is Model A) and it has just stayed hidden for about a decade, I don't even know what my son was looking for over there when he found it.
If you aren't busy this Sunday (3-16-25) the swap meet is being put on by the Eastside A's Model A Club at Russ Milne Ford, 24777 Hall Rd, Macomb, MI and the doors open at 8:00AM, I'll be the old guy selling stuff.
"Remember son, there are two ways to do this: The right way, and your way” Thanks Dad, I love you too.

I forgot to ask if you already had the Stevens facer. If you did not have it, its extra nice to find something you did not know you had and actually need it .....

Re: Found a rusty Stevens nugget.
Yes I do have one. Bad part is, I bought it here on the Forum a while back well after I unknowingly bought this one at the auction. I will pay my stupid-tax and try to pass it on at the swap meet this Sunday for a reasonable price (no need to have 2). If I don't sell it this weekend it will be offered up here in the classifieds.
Again, if your not doing anything this Sunday and you are in the metro-Detroit area, Russ Milne Ford in Macomb, doors open at 8:00AM. Still going to be the old guy selling stuff, stop on by. Here is my most recent picture that I can find (I'm a little taller now):

Re: Found a rusty Stevens nugget.
We have one of those in my T clubs transmission repair tool kit. What I have found is it might have been great for cutting original babbitt bushing, don't do so hot with the brass ones we use as replacements.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!
