Steering bracket

Post by fordrelic » Sun Mar 16, 2025 1:27 pm

Sorting through some parts and found this cast steering bracket.
Is this a model T steering bracket? If so what year?

Please see pictures. Cast bracket on the right.

Thanks for your help.

It's obviously for a post-1915 (or post-1919) column. If I could find my parts book, I would start there with a search for a match.

Left side one is an original Ford part - the other is an accessory

Accessory, as noted.

Many types were made, as Ford didn't put a steering column support on the steel firewall Ts until about March 1923.

So Ts with metal dashes prior were lacking such clamps or supports.[/b]
