Gas tanks

Post by Michael Paul » Sun May 18, 2025 10:28 am

Hi all, I hoping for some history on the aftermarket gas tank suppliers.

Not available? Who has the patterns for inlet and outlet castings? Was the business offered for sale?

I plan on making one for my 09 . The sheet metal forming doesn't look that difficult. I'd prefer not to rob my original tank parts for the project.

Anyone else needing a new tank?

Michael

Your 1909 round tank with riveted brackets likely hard to replicate. Don't know if this builder of the later round tanks and oval tanks could help.

The inlet and outlet maybe could be used as the later types used, but may not be exact as the original. You could call the builder and ask, he may help if you supply the original tank as pattern.
