Shipping recommendations for Model T

Post by jaybee47 » Tue May 20, 2025 9:35 am

Besides Freighter Jim, are there other reliable shippers for Model Ts. I used Bill's in the past but I think he is no longer doing pickup and delivery. Thank you.

Sorry...I should have checked that Bill is still doing pickup and delivery service. I will contact him.

Steer WAY, WAY CLEAR of the other. Bill Squires is the most professional and wonderful person hauling cars today and been doing it for years. Bill’s wife Laura has been going thru some
Serious health concerns but he is now getting back out on the road.
His contact number is 216-832-8697. Nobody better!

Thank you Larry & Steve for the Kind Words!

I am sorry that I was not able to help Jay & see him again , but his car was a little too tall for my enclosed trailer. Hopefully next time!

By they way....Laura is walking without the aid of a walker or cane & doing normal "Life Things" as we continue to fight the cancer with Prayer & Nutrition.

God Bless
Bill

I'll admit Bill and Jim are very reputable and trusted shippers, but I have used two others, very successfully and a bit more economically. One was a company called California Jaguar. They primarily had trucks running between California and Florida, a southern route. They hauled a 26-27 pickup bed for me from southern Cal. to Houston, TX. and a second time that I used them, they hauled a Fordson tractor from Nevada to Houston. A second shipper that I have used as one of the 'well advertised' shippers. I think it was 'Interstate' if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure it wasn't 'Horseless Carriage'. They hauled a 26 T 4 door sedan to Houston from Waycross, GA.

in March or April of this year, I contacted 'Bill' to get an estimation of the transport of a 26 coupe from northern Illinois to San Antonio, TX. His quote was so high that added to the price of the car in Illinois, I could buy a car of the same type, offered locally, for the same price and the seller would even deliver it to my door. When Bill told me he was booked up into the summer, that was all I needed to write the Illinois car and its transport, off.
I don't say this to "bad mouth" any one. It is just my experience.

I had inner city lines haul my 1910 touring to Detroit. I was very happy with their service and price.
