Please help fill the Gap.

What is the solution to the gap between the cowl and the dash? It is as big as 7/16". I know nothing about what goes there or how it is attached.
Improved coupe.
Thanks

That gap is supposed to be like that, it provides airflow for ventilation with the windshield slightly opened.

Thanks, my mind is blown away as I was not expecting that answer.
Good news that I can cross another item off my cardboard list.

Vernon: Looks correct. The 'gap' on my '26 is slightly less than 1/2" at the pillars and 7/16" at the center, you're good to go!
