Technology needed!

Post by KimDobbins » Fri May 23, 2025 11:23 am

I have this very old Ford parts book, I think it’s probably from a ford branch. It includes all the parts books from 1903-1908. Models A, AC, C, B, K, and NRS. Inside the front cover is an old Ink stamp. It’s a stamp of a car and some lettering. If I could somehow get the lettering inhanced, it probably tells where the book came from. Ideas?

Try looking at the stamp under a blacklight. Sometimes that light shows hard to read images.

Kim,
If the image is reversed, I can visualize:

That's great Keith, there are a few notes in the pages noting parts and prices. This book is probably out of one of the branches. The last book in this is NRS, no T parts are listed. I bought it years ago from Walter Miller, an antique auto literature dealer in New York.

It says

Ford Motor Cars
Detroit Michigan

My guess is the book inside cover was sandwiched on top of an old 1907 or so print ad or brochure in a damp environment and the ink transferred to the book cover.
