looking for information about a 1914 turtle deck lid

Post by Craig E. Luton » Tue Aug 05, 2025 4:04 pm

I am getting ready to install the lid on my 1914 turtle deck. Was there any type of gasket or seal used on the 1914 turtle deck lid to keep the water out?
Thank you, Craig

No seal or gasket on any T deck lids from 14-22 that I know of. Metal on metal and that’s it. No T’s are completely water tight. Even the closed T’s leak a little but not much if any.
