Give em time! If I'm not mistaken the first tour through the trees yesterday is quite a jaunt over to the NW corner of the lower peninsula, crossing the big bridge, etc. Gotta be quite a few miles, smiles and fun! And I believe they're back over the bridge today again. And yep we all hope they're all safe, especially over the bridge, and no breakdowns.

Dave, I'm having some difficulty posting pics here. I sent you some via fb messenger. I've been told that 4 vehicles rode the Vulture Wagon on Thursday. It's been.a great time so far! Tammy and I stopped to help fix a timer brush on a 26 Tudor today, and had it not been for Steve Shotwell coming to the rescue with an entire supply of T parts and tools, we'd still be roadside. The last sections of dirt road on the Old Mackinaw Trail were fantastic!

Here’s a few! Having fun, great roads and weather too.

Please tell me that you paid the bridge toll for you and the car behind you. My son had worked on Mackinac Island many years ago and always said that 'buying" some Mackinac Island Karma when crossing the bridge always made a bad week turn into great week.
"Remember son, there are two ways to do this: The right way, and your way” Thanks Dad, I love you too.

Good idea but the car behind was another T we’d been touring with for two days; I’m not sure the karma thing would work if they knew who did it…Pep C Strebeck wrote: ↑Sat Aug 16, 2025 12:06 amPlease tell me that you paid the bridge toll for you and the car behind you. If I am not mistaken, that "threshold" is a 1911 or 1912 running board.

Wayne, good eye. Wondered who would note that 1912 running board.
The resturant is the Legs Inn. Built by immigrant Mr. Smolak who came to the United States in 1912 and settled in Cross Village in 1921. During the 1930s Smolak enlisted the labor of Odawa and other area residents to construct the inn from locally gathered timber and stones.
His use of the 1912 runningboard paid homage to his arrival in the USA.

First is crossing the Mighty Mac on day 2. Second picture is day 3 lunch stop at Kings Fish Market just after the thunderstorm passed.
