Another Newbie Question

Post by Mike S » Sat Aug 16, 2025 2:44 pm

I am planning to put turn signals on my 1927 Coupe. There is a bracket that attaches to the fender on the left side. I ordered and received a bracket for the right side to match. However, there is another bracket/license plate holder that the tail light attaches to.

Does anyone know what this part is called and where would I find one to have the two lights match in height. I got the new light assembly but I need to have something to make both sides similar.

I just cannot seem to find anything that looks like that.

See attached photos of the existing mount/assembly. Thanks for your help!

There is one for that taillight, that is designed for the pickups.

I do not believe the license plate portion was ever sold separately. Do you have a taillight housing like in the picture shown? It is different than what the suppliers sell. Best bet is to see if there is one on eBay where the taillight.
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

I have the original one. The replacement from the suppliers are not the same size but similar look.

The license plate bracket, taillight base with single socket are one piece.
The lense holder can is seperate. You basically need another tail light unit & will have to change the sockets in both to double sockets.
The stock light is a running light, no stop feature.
