Got cab heat control

Post by Mountainrider » Thu Jul 04, 2019 12:11 pm

Exhaust wrap and a heat shield. Helps a lot.
Just did a maintenance check this morning. Almost no lint in the transmission screen and bands have seated nice with no further adjustments needed. Greased and oiled everything. All set for a nice ride.

Like it. I use exhaust wrap on my T-uner. I can drive around at Interstate speeds for an hour, stop and touch the wrap without fear of leaving my skin on the manifold. There is an advantage of increased engine efficiency in using it too. You get more horsepower (>.1hp) because the wrap will keep exhaust heat in the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe instead of dissipating to other areas. When heat is contained within the exhaust system it will improve the flow of exhaust gasses throughout the entire system. Looks cool too.
