Connecting Rod info

Looking for the ID of big end of rod BEFORE Babbitt is poured.
Any chance someone has that? What I am measuring is not matching the drawings I got. Thanks Dan

Babbit is typically .040”-.050” radial thickness. So a stock T rod would be about 1.350”

Thanks that is what I thought, but they held the ford drawing I am not reading right I guess.

Our departed white metal guru used to stipulate a certain measurement for the thickness of the rod caps where the bolts go through. This weeded out those caps which had been filed down too much, thus making the bearing material a little thin once bored to size. I tossed a lot of caps that didn't measure up. Those who fit their caps with a shim stack might have used some of them. He would never cast bearings with any shims. If you wanted shims, he would reluctantly fit them before boring the bearings.

He was the master of the art. He could pour and machine new bearings in Tramcar brake compressors, re-metal slip in bearing shells obsolete for years, and do all sorts of one-off jobs on stationary motors. We miss his expertise.
