Model T tall radiator - 28-29 Model A radiator Cores

Does anyone know if a core from a 28-29 Model A can be used to recore a 24-27 Model T radiator ? I have a Model T radiator that needs recoring and I have a chance to buy a brand new 28-29 Model A radiator for the bargain price of $300.00 ! The model A radiator core is 19-19.5 inches wide, about the same as a T. The seller says the Model A radiator, measured from the bottom of the bottom tank to the highest point of the top tank, is 25". I'm not doing this for a show car, so authenticity is not a concern, and since width is about the same (or is the same), I figured even if the core height is taller than a T core, a radiator shop could maybe cut it down to fit. Anyone know if this is possible or has done this ?

I don't have an answer to your question but I just priced a recore on a short Model T radiator at two local shops and the prices were 800.00 and 850.00. If you pay that for a recore and 300.00 for the A radiator you might as well buy a new Brassworks Model T radiator. By the way, shipping on a T radiator is about 120.00 thru USPS or UPS. Art

Art, you're probably right. I was just comparing the cost of a new core from Brassworks, which is way more than $300.00. I think Brassworks cores are about half or more of their new radiator prices.
