25 coupe
I am restoring (somewhat) a coupe. painting the body and I am missing a lot of the trim that hides the places where body panels meet. Also where the body meets the top. Does anyone know where i might acquire the trim parts?

The body trim parts for a 24-25 Coupe are not going to be real easy to find. Those pieces aren’t being reproduced. It would help if you go to the classifieds section of the MTFCA and post what you need for your Coupe. Some body has those pieces on a parts Coupe somewhere. Good luck.

I have that trim and most of the body parts and the wood plans. I have been hoping to find someone who wants to build the car and not wanting to break it up for just that band. The parts I have are all nice and it is without doors but some may be near. I know the band is the key piece and my conundrum is where to go from here in Kelowna B.C. The help I need here is psychiatric.

The Coupe is interesting in that it evolved between 24-25. My first Coupe had wood framed doors and an aluminum or zinc belt rail that was nailed from B-pillar to B-pillar. Later, Ford made the belt rail easier to install by making it two pieces with an outer beauty cover that snapped on. My current 25 Coupe body has this design and Budd steel doors. This belt rail design carried over to the Model A Coupes and I can assure you they’re all practically impossible to find.
You may ultimately find yourself having to form and nail that rail yourself. A few people have told me there is bendable stock available from some of the antique hardware supplies. Good luck in your quest.

Very hard to find. I parted one a few years ago . Had two guys standing on my spaces at Hershey waiting for me to arrive. Just for the band. Wish I could find some more coupes.

You also asked about trimming the top. Look at Lang’s 9297C. The original gutters were steel with a thin piece covering the nails. This is a reasonable facsimile. The front and back of the top are trimmed with hide em welt.

The body trim pieces are made of aluminum or some sort of pot metal. I have a 24 Coupe and some of the trim pieces were a little loose. They are nailed on and I was sucessful renailing back on.
The two pieces that sort of snap on the rear trunk back were about to fall off but were still there and I was lucky they didn’t on my car.
At the time I was restoring and repainting it I did find at McMaster Carr supply some aluminum trim pieces in different widths I was considering using but I didn’t. They were found in the section of industrial machinery trim and were oval and made of aluminum.
