I’m Back !!
Been a rough few years and I took a hiatus for some time but I’m doing okay and will be around again.
Some of you may remember me as the wiring harness guy, sold them all thanks to you guys and thanks. Helped with my mom’s care but sadly she passed in 2021.
This June, health issues finally took my wife.
My brother in law passed shortly afterwards and I lost my brother a month ago. Life sucks sometimes but it keeps marching on. Just me and my dog Dewey left here with me.
I will be gathering up some stuff and posting them for sale sometime soon, just be patient with shipping since I lost my runner, but I’ll do my best.
I’ve been watching and reading from time to time but it’s been a busy few years and I’m still running a repair shop out of my garage.
Me and my buddy !

Welcome home Dave. I’m very sorry you’ve lost quite a bit of family, but gladdened you’ve come back to your Model T family…….

Dave, welcome back. Sometimes life interferes and keeps us away from the forum. You and I aren't the only ones. It's good to see you back, and to be back.

Re: I’m Back !!
Thanks for the kind words guys !
I lost my dog too few years ago and Dewey is the new one. Just about 2.5 years now and 95lbs ! Nothing I’ve ever dealt with compares to losing my wife, especially at 61.
Steve, I followed your saga a bit, terrible what happened to you and your T. Glad you’re back and able to move around.
I still have my 24 and took it to a few shows this year. Probably won’t be able to get it out till next year now. We had snow already and the evil salt is all over the roads.
My friend Bill just bought a Tudor and it had a Wizard carb on it and was running rich even with the needle in all the way. He put a NH on it but it still had a hiccup now and then and just seemed a little sluggish. I didn’t think 25lbs was enough compression with a fairly fresh engine and a Z head. So he pulled the head, cleaned all the carbon out and lapped the valves. The weather got bad and he’s only driven it once but it seems better. I would like to see the compression readings now. It had carbon everywhere and chunks too !

Welcome back Dave! So sorry to hear of your losses.
I was just thinking the other day about members that no longer post on the forum and realized that you had been absent. Glad to hear you are still enjoying your T.

Re: I’m Back !!
Daves a great guy has never failed to lend a hand when asked. We met a few years ago now, quite by chance through the forum. Didn't realize we're only 10 miles apart. His parents were in the same T club as my wife and I however his dad had passed by the time we joined. We try to do T related stuff now and then and text back and forth while I'm watching Jeopardy and he's tuned to Mash. He helped greatly with the coupe and is a good sounding board. Wingnut

Re: I’m Back !!
Back at ya Bill. Bill hooked me up with a good radiator early on and my car has been running cool since ! I think we traded for it for I forgot what I gave him.Wingnut wrote: ↑Thu Nov 13, 2025 8:28 amDaves a great guy has never failed to lend a hand when asked. Here’s a picture of his newest car that we hopefully got running right after cleaning up the carbon mess.

Re: I’m Back !!
Thanks George, they really help with the wind whipping around, knocking my hat off and mussing my hair ! Isinglass ? I assume you mean the rear window ? My dad did upholstery and added a roll up rear windows later on. It has two square windows in it.
I have to add my lifelong friend and neighbor to the list. Lost him about two years ago and he was a glassman and cut the glass for my wind wings for my dad. He had a collection of cars but a little newer stuff. A couple DeSotos and a 4 door Willys and a few. His wife wants to sell if anyone has interest, I can get more information.
I got this 68 Roadrunner going for her after sitting since before he passed and took it to a couple car shows for her, but she wants top dollar for it and I don’t blame her. It’s a nice low mileage numbers matching car with a 383 4 gear.
Fun to drive but slightly quicker than my T !
