Model T Clutch Drum series Version 3 - T725B.2

Post by accuratemodelmaker » Wed Mar 11, 2026 1:57 pm

Here is the 3rd major version of the Model T/TT transmission Clutch Drum. Noticeably thicker around perimeter, with only 2 holes, vs. the previous 6. While researching this drum, I have found photos showing the Ford script to be on the front side as well as the back side.

This is first drum used in conjunction with the removal of the Top Hat bushing and replacement of three .042" thick washers. Note the set screw/thrust face distance is now "LESS" than the previous version drum at .521" - .526" vs .530" - .533". It is the first drum to be made out of H.R. type "E" steel - heat treated.

Enjoy!
