Seeing old friends
Was cleaning up an area in the garage today and came across an old Craftsman hand carry tool box. Opened it up and sat down and went thru it. Going thru the tools in it was like visiting with old friends I had not seen in years. Some of these tools had helped me make a living for years and it was nice to handle them again and put them into another tool box I use all the time. They are like a model t, old but not forgotten.

Re: Seeing old friends
Some tools make memories which last. I was given a plastic tool roll by a Model T Club member for my 21st birthday. It was German made quality and had all sorts of blades which fitted into a lock-on screwdriver handle, some pliers and a punch or two. I lost a couple of bits over the years. Just a few years ago I found am almost complete kit in as new condition at the Bendigo swap meet, for $5! That let me replace the lost bits in my original kit. Also in this new kit was a 4" adjustable wrench, which I could not remember belonged in my kit. As luck would have it, I had just that wrench in my 70 strong collection of different 4" adjustable wrenches.
