DIY Ford foot throttle

Post by Drobnock » Tue Mar 24, 2026 11:38 am

By 1925 the Model T was showing its age. The newer cars had features that made driving an automobile easier. The move from a hand throttle to a foot throttle was one improvement.

The 1924/25 Industrial Education Magazine prepared an article that was showing future owners of second hand cars how they could improve the ride.

Attach is a copy of instructions of a foot throttle using scrap material.

Snyder's (others?) sell the Fulton pedal but not the additional parts for a Model T ... Looks like a DIY copy candidate

The original kit... (copied from the internet)

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
