Henry's First Car
Does any know the year that Ford Motor Company decided Henrys first car was built in 1896 rather than 1893?

It’s really hard to sort through the propaganda, Larry. I read an advertising blurb the other night from 1903 that mr ford had been successfully building cars for a dozen years already.

Larry-
I always learned that 1893 was the year that he ran his engine on Clara's kitchen counter.
The quadricycle was 1896.

If you get it printed, it has to be true, right? This is a 1904 ad. The first gasoline autos were Lambert 1890 , Duryea 1893, Haynes 1894. pretty sure there are more sprinkled in there. If you believe this ad, Henry’s was 1889, but really he was a late comer.
