OT - identifying a Ford Model K

Post by Rob » Mon Jan 21, 2019 12:54 pm

Found another one...... Over the years I occasionally match an unknown photo of a Model K with the owner. This one took a while. This photo of a Model K and Thomas Flyer appeared in an "Automobile" article about the 1907 Glidden Tour. News reports indicated Ford would participate in the 1907 Glidden with four Model N and two Model K. However, that failed to happen. However, non-participants often accompanied Gliddenites on some legs of the tour.

About this time, John Wagner of South Bend IN has purchased a new Ford Six:

And almost immediately joins the South Bend to Chicago leg of the tour:

Wagner mentions at the bottom of the article about passing an abandoned Maxwell with a broken axle. This Brooklyn article identifies the owner of this same Maxwell.
