F.S. 24 touring

Post by John Illinois » Sat Jun 07, 2025 12:19 pm

Car has many new parts with receipts.
Lileker Auto Repair rebuilt short block,Z head, 4 Universal T driver tires with 4 hartford tubes on good wheels.
5 Ron Paterson coils,no magneto.New rear axles, Berg radiator, wiring harness, gas tank, Dave’s Restoration transmission drums and main shaft.New door and kick panels ,not installed.
Top is good, goes up and down. Upholstery is good. Number matching title in my name.
The car starts and runs well, but has a problem with the transmission. It has a good free neutral, but have to press hard on pedals and car is sluggish.
I have worked on the car for several years and am now 82 and do not have the desire to fix the transmission.
Price $7,500.

With all the work done, the pedal shafts were probably sealed. Try manually oiling the outer pedal cam surfaces.
You may be surprised there is no real transmission problem.

I had the same problem. New band material solved it. The bands were glazed hard. Les
