Andy:
you are correct regarding this lathe ... a small enough lathe to be practical , but of large enough capacity to be useful ... this is not a TOY ... currently Bolton tools has this machine on sale for $2851.70 ... regular price of $3106.95 ... factory spec. lists this machine as 13" swing 29 1/2 " center distance with 1 1/2" diameter spindle bore ...can be wired as 240 volt single phase or as currently wired 120 volt single phase ... this unit functions well as a +/- .001" tolerance machine tool , closer with extreme care ... i recognize that is not up to the high standards of the +/- one millionth crowd that frequents this forum ... it is however a good value and is fairly priced ... thank you MTFCA and Merry Christmas all...Gene K. I wish I was closer to you Gene. That's a very good price for what you have listed. A perfect lathe for home shop or small business use.

Plus or minis 1 thou a few inches from the nose is about all you can expect from most any lathe. Also requres a darn good chuck.
