After talking to a speedo friend, he informed me the speedo that came with the Stanley I purchased was actually a 1912 (based on the serial number staring with a D) Model 26. He felt a Mode 26 was appropriate for a Model T, and not really for a Stanley.
I replaced the speedo on the Stanley with a 1910 Model 11 and have no use for this 1912 Model 26. I do not know how well it is calibrated. My Stanley was restored in the late 80s and I suspect this speedo was done by someone around that time frame as the odometer was zeroed. I spun the front wheel of the Stanley with this speedo attached and the needle moves. The needle also moves if I spin the input by hand. I don't have the Stanley running right now and I do not know anything more about the speedo functionality.
If you are interested it is $200 plus shipping, or you can pick it up in Milford MI 48380 to avoid the shipping charge.
Thanks!
