LOL, well my 1st cousin lives there, he’s about to retire from the USAF & has decided to stay in the cold Midwest. I suppose I’ll need to find the front saddle before I can do anything ha

John. Nice looking jig. You will need to find and install the "taper pins" in the tail shaft for the cone. The taper pins is what sets the alignment of the tail shaft. There should also be 2 taper pins in the front plate for the hand crank test pin. Without the taper pins there is no accuracy. McCaster Carr has the little pins for the top of the table. It takes 10 pins but buy 20. They are cheap and you will break them from time to time. If you buy the McCaster Carr pins you must aneal them by heating them up to a "dull red" and let cool slowly. As sold they are too hard. Of the ten pin holes 6 of them go all the way thru the table. A broken pin can be driven on thru the table no problem. The other 4 holes are blind holes. If you do not areal the pins it is very very very difficult to drill the broken pin for removal. Trust me on that one. If you need any info on where to get the few missing test pins, give me a call.
I have several new friends since I got my pan jig :)

Mark I use a weed burner to heat block as it heats a larger area and retains the heat better.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=https:/ ... d3Hdqq6GSI
