Re: WTB 24 Tailight
Maybe what I am looking for is wrong for a 24 but I need the style that has a stud out the back that mounts to the spare tire bracket.

I have several different styles. Some have flat back, others rounded etc
Is this what you need? I have all the parts even a lens like in the picture. There are many variations of the window to illuminate the license plate/ I'll send pictures Tomorrow via PM to you

Not sure if I have the option - single or double contact bulb

Re: WTB 24 Tailight
Sent a PM to you with pictures
I have that exact one. It appears to have been repainted & looks like Ford logo. Is a single contact, has bulb, socket plug and thimble. Tested it and as expected whoever painted it didn't tape the socket ends. I will clean up and insure that things work
It needs the clear glass that illuminates the license plate. I may have something to suffice. The repo clear inserts are to small

The :glass" is just a bit of celluloid. It can be cut from the side of a PET drink/ water bottle.

Re: WTB 24 Tailight
Finished testing it. The celluloid is from Planters Peanuts Jar as shown. The label is shrink wrapped on the jar
The photo has the first try at cutting one just a hair short. Made another

Re: WTB 24 Tailight
For 1924, the spare tire bracket is the same as the earlier bracket that has mounting for an electric tail light or oil lamp, and slots for a license plate mounting, but for some reason Ford used the newer style tail light and license plate bracket. The new style tail light is used from 1924 thru 1927.The new tail light is attached to the spare tire bracket in one of the license plate slots.
