Magneto Post needed

Post by DavidGMeier » Thu Aug 17, 2023 2:13 pm

I am needing a Magneto Post for my 1919 Model T. When it was purchased from a neighbor, it didn't have a Magneto post, the spot where the post would go is capped off.

Have you checked to see if your car has the magneto magnets etc in it. Does the car have ford coils or a distributor of some kind?

Do your self a favor, add an outside oil line. Solve 2 problems at once.

David,
I’d sell you this perfectly made repro mag Post I just removed - for what the vendors charge. The gasket is attached and includes the 3 screws. It worked great and my roadster ran strong on mag, I removed it to install this extremely poorly made mag post with an outside oil line. See how I had to grind on it to make it fit? I have original accessory mag posts, outside oil lines on all my Model T except this one. But the T still runs strong with this ugly mag post and I also receive a great deal of oil to #1 bearing.
…But I’d second Dan’s suggestion above.
