Please edit your ad(s) and remove the contact information. You are opening the door wide for scammers. People can use the contact button and would have to be logged in too do so. If you want to post your contact info, write it on a piece of paper and post a photo of it.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Mark,
There are a few posters who do write their info on paper and post it.
Why does that prevent the scammers from reading script and scamming, as opposed to reading the nicely typed contact info?
Admittedly, I am technology challenged....just curious as to how/why that procedure works.
Thanks for the information. (It will be my technology lesson for the day).
Dave

Re: Stromberg OF Carburetor
This is how I understand it works: Generally, because they are using a program to harvest email addresses and phone number that are typed in the listing, not from something in a photograph. The program used is collecting key bits of information such as phone numbers or email addresses and key words, so in most cases, you may not be even dealing with a live person, it is a computer program used by the scammer.
Guess it could be done, but they would have to have equipment to scan photographs and pick the one with the number and convert as part of the harvesting which could slow up the process. Most of them are not going to take time to write it down if human eyes are even seeing the ad. Most scam emails/texts just mirror what was in the ad, you're not really connecting with a real person at their end, it's automated till they get a live one, and maybe not even then. Think of the photograph of the phone number as a captcha, in most cases, humans can read and respond, computers can't.
