WTB Coil for a Brush automobile

Post by YellowTRacer » Mon Feb 05, 2024 3:25 pm

Anyone have an oddball coil for a Brush automobile? The Brush only has a single coil and the coil box measures 3 1/8" X 2 1/2" a little different size than a Model T Ford coil and it has 3 contact points/"buttons", one on each side of the upper area and one at the back on the upper area. It's all we need in order to get this contraption running. HELP!!! We're not sopping price, we need a coil.

Ed, fellow Model-Ter Steve Boyd has a Brush that he drives on the New London to New Brighton. Have you reached out to him for a possible lead?

BTW, I think my favorite slogan for a Brush automobile is 'Wooden Frame, Wooden Axle, Wooden Run!!' ;)

Well they were called runabouts because they would run-about a block then quit!

Ed:
Ihave a single coil of the type you are asking about. I have enclosed four pictures of the coil. I 'm not at home till the first of April. I cann't read the information on the coil from the pictures. If this looks like the one you need, let me know and I will get the information on the coil when I return to Portland. Tom

I'm not able to post the pictures. If you send me an e-mail I will try to attach them to an e-mai.l Tom

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
