WTB - Oil Pan

My 1924 Roadster motor mount just cracked where it had been welded before. I would like to replace the whole pan with one that the motor mounts have not been cracked and rewelded.

I have perhaps 15 or more good pans of various ages. I do not ship. If you know a Minnesota person, they could select a nice one.

I am in Maine, and do not know of anyone near Minnesota. If I could afford it, I would drive there myself and pick one up, but I can't, so thank you anyway.

I can not find one anywhere. I guess I don't know where to look. I wish I could talk you into shipping me one of yours. I have only been into Model-T's for a couple of years, and I do not know anyone near me that has one.

I am going to call Lang's on Monday and ask them. They are in Massachusetts, which is only about 200 miles from me.
if they have one, I will drive there to pick it up.

I go to Gray every week to purchase raw milk and yogurt from a farm on Mayall Rd. It is the next town over from me. Is there a way I can contact the person who lives there?

We often hear of them going to scrap. Soon we will start hearing regret. They are not all the same. They should be graded by looking first of all, at the ball socket, then ears, threads, snout, and gasket rail. Save the good ones and offer them free if necessary.

The Downeast chapter of the Model T club is quite active in Maine and perhaps one of their members has a surplus pan.
If that well is dry you could reach out to the Central New Hampshire Model T Club for assistance.

Are your pans in good condition, meaning the ball socket for the wishbone, the motor mount ears, the threads for the oil plug and petcocks? I would be willing to drive to pick up one of them in MA if that is the case. The one I am replacing has 4 dippers. But if only the 3 dippers are in good condition I would use that. The main thing is to have the pan in good shape.

I got one and picked it up in Massachusetts last week. Just put the engine back in the car today. Thank you very much though for the offer.

Francis please tell me you had the pan straightened, if not I’m sure there is someone that has a KRW pan table TO INSURE that you won’t have added problems to an already big headache. Best John

I want to thank you for your advice, but I do not know anyone with a straightening jig.

I checked it as close as I could on my surface plate for flatness, and when I set it in the frame the motor mount holes lined up, and when I bolted it on the engine with a gasket the third main slid right in. I will find out if I messed up by Friday, because that is when I will be running it. I think it will be fine by the way it all fit together, but I could be wrong.
