Looking for 21” rim and tire for ‘26 Coupe

Post by Hangmancalif » Sat Aug 10, 2024 7:22 pm

Happy to say that I was successful in finding both the Y and spool spare mount for my ‘26 coupe thanks to this forum. I am still looking for a spare rim and tire for the same car. The car has wooden spoke wheels. Appreciate any thoughts.

The rim is 21” and the tires are 4.40/4.50/4.75/5.00/5.25-21. Thanks.

The rim is Canadian.

Is the rest of the car Canadian?

If you are not fussy, Canadian and US rims are interchangeable. They just have different latching systems at the joint.

I checked the photos again. It looks like a US wheel. The spokes do appear to have the inwards/outwards taper on the spkes at the hub end. Are the replacement hub bolts hardware shop items? If so, they are likely to have rolled threads and shanks smaller than the required 3/8", making them a poor fit in the holes.

Allan, I appreciate that observation and I too wondered about the bolts and plan to replace them. I acquired the car with them in place and they did look odd to me. Thanks again. I remain on the hunt for a spare rim and tire!!
