Re: Wanted
For 1912 USA models, even early ones built in late 1913, for all practical purposes, all touring cars originally had the front enclosed with an actual door on the passenger side. Canadian 1912 touring cars had a door on both sides that year.
In spite of the fact that so many people since WW2 restoring 1912 T touring cars have left the "removeable doors" off the car? Era photographic evidence indicates that that was rarely ever done before the cars were worn out and ready for the junk yard.
English built model Ts often had front doors even before 1912.
USA 1912 models without front doors included the open roadsters, mother-in-law roadster, and business roadster, which were nearly the same thing.
Of course, getting a 1912 touring car body and leaving the doors off during restoration has been done before? So doing so again would be no big thing. It might however be wise if you get a body including the front doors to restore them to match the body even if you decide to leave them off. If you ever decide to sell the car, having the doors already matching the car's restoration could be a big plus at sale time.
Good luck!
