Rebuilt and tested Stromberg OF carburetors

Post by Bruce Compton » Tue Apr 15, 2025 5:14 pm

Unfortunately it appears that after 35 years of attending the world's best ever car event,I won't be going to Hershey this year. I'll be offering most of my stock here for the next while and am starting with my restored and engine tested Stromberg OF carbs. I have three ready to go, all with new gasket kits, new stainless needles, repaired throttle shafts/bushings, added sight plugs and tested floats. I'm asking $575.00 each including shipping to Cont. USA and Canada. I will also be offering a restored Stromberg RF, a Stromberg LF and a Holley G.

Just wondering, is the line of Strombergs a lot better than say a Holley NH straight thru? Are they worth it? Tossing around replacing a straight thru on the '26 touring. Thanks in advance for a reply. Wingnut

I suggest you do some quick research on the MTFCA forum, especially the posts from the late Stan Howe. His posts were the thing that got me hooked on Strombergs, as everything he stated was genuine, and from years of experience. Actually I've discovered that the Wheeler-Scheblers are every bit as good, but not near as popular . As well the Stromberg RF is actually an improvement over the OF, but not as pretty. The OF has three circuits (not one) and adapts to load and RPM needs much better than any stock Ford carb while offering better fuel economy, smoother running, and more power.
