Wanted: One 1915-27 electric headlamp rim in unusable condition. MUST have at least ONE usable bracket on backside with usable tabs. Rest of rim, unimportant, as I will cannibalize rim for one lens bracket. Willing to pay shipping. Contact me through this site's messenger.

Terry. the brackets changed when the fluted lens was introduced. Does this matter to you?

Allan, I wasn't aware of the change and difference, but I need some for fluted lens. I have a pair of steel rims that have been nickle plated by a previous owner that have all the tabs broken off. Don't know about shipping from half way around the world. Hopefully someone in U.S.A. has some.

The H lens clips are wider and more complicated in shape. They have to stop the lens rotating within the rim.
I have made a couple out of sheet brass and soldered them in place on some 26-7 brass rims. Fiddly work but worth the effort on a good rim.

Terry, I have a few of those clamps already removed and a couple of unrestorable steel rims you can have if you can’t get one from Alan. I’m surprised you haven’t contacted me

Yours is the better option George. If the original rivets are still in place, it is still easier to tin the rim and brackets and solder them over the rivets.
