Help identify this brass sediment bulb

Post by Tbird » Sun Nov 30, 2025 12:23 pm

I have here two brass sediment bulbs for the torpedo and runabout for 11-12
One of them is what appears to be a repo. I'm looking at the details and it has rough casting marks, it has been cleaned up a little bit and polished. The hex section is not as defined. Looking at the vendors it looks very similar.

The other one is really crisp and sharp no casting marks, and the hex section is very neat and defined. I also noticed that it's a little bit larger, the bottom section is more fuller and more defined. Could this one be an original? I know when you make castings the castings come out a little smaller. Any help much appreciated!
Thanks

I would think that the "rougher" looking one is original.
Either way they both sure are pretty! Too bad they're hidden underneath the tank where no one can see em!
