....I had lost hope on finding top irons for my 1926 Touring; I’d set an alert on auction sites, but nothing. I noted a PM from Bob with a hyperlink-He found a set for sale!
....My fingers flew and my credit card digits were entered in no time at all. A new-to-me set of irons are on their way!
I have a homemade electrolysis tank that I made for antique musket barrels deemed “Too rusty.” I’ll be documenting my restoration and results via a photo set to help those who may have found a set that initially seems: “Beyond all hope,” so that maybe I can offer a meaningful contribution to Model T restorers on a budget. I built my “tank” for $30.00 in parts.
I can’t thank everyone enough for the support they’ve given me on my project! Once I sort out the handbrake only operating on one wheel, I can’t wait to join everyone for some tours! My compression remains dreadfully low, but I’m hoping the old girl will give me some joy before a dreaded re-ring/rebuild.
....Stay tuned for some photos!
....An out of the blue success!!!
