Help with 1912 Kingston Coils

Post by rnwilliams » Mon Mar 16, 2020 7:37 pm

Had my coils boxed up to bring to Chickasha with me but that isn't going to happen now. I understand R.V. Anderson is closing down for a few weeks. Is there anyone else out there that can help me set up the points and test my 1912 Kingston Coils? They don't fit in my strobo-spark. One coil was missing the points. The new points from the vendors are a little different than the originals. I could set them myself if someone can tell me how, or I can send them to be worked on. Got a wedding to do the first of May. I sure would like to get the car going by then.

Thought about using my coil box as an adapter to hook the strobo-spark to my 1912 Kingston coils one at a time. By using leads and clips I think I can make the strobo-spark give me the readings I need. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the points on these coils once I get a reading?

I only posted the one that looked the best fit.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!
