60th Montana 500 Started

Post by SurfCityGene » Tue Jun 23, 2020 5:23 pm

Second day of the 2020 Montana 500 is now well underway with 4 cars out. Here is a link to some results and videos made by Mike Robison.

Unfortunately I had to return home after reaching Idaho Falls and getting a phone call that my wife had fallen and broke her hip and shoulder. She is doing OK but will have a rather long recovery. I had worked several weeks with Garrett Green master mind of the Green Tam racing adventures on the Red Roadster which I had driven several times before. This year it was the fastest it had been after much tuning and detail work.

Good Luck and Be Safe to all the racers. looks l;ike some beautiful weather and country!

Oh God, Gene, I'm sorry to hear that... my prayers are with you, brother! I worry as we are getting up in years about broken hips and the like... we aren't the spring chickens we wish we still were!

Gene
Thanks for posting a link to the videos.
Just watched the first one. Mike R. did a great job "filming" and describing the start of the race.

Sorry to read about your wife's fall. I hope she will have a good recovery. This is a bad time to need medical help. However, the doctors and nurses are well trained in sanitation and she should be fine. Sorry you missed out on the 500.

With all the COVID madness, I don't think I've ever heard WHERE the 500 is based this year.

Anyone ?
More people are doing it today than ever before !
